Dr. Gayton was recently invited back to China to present information at the International Symposium on Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ISOPT) annual meeting. The meeting was held in Macau, China which is located in Eastern Asia, bordering the South China Sea and China. It is about 40 miles from Hong Kong, where Dr. Gayton lectured 2 years ago.

After arriving in Macau, he discussed modern pharmaceuticals that we are currently using to improve visual outcomes for patient care. His lectures on “Preventing Macular Edema and Protecting the Ocular Surface During Cataract Surgery” and “Decreasing Pain and Improving Vision in PRK” were received well. He also spoke about premium intraocular lenses used in cataract surgery and on laser treatments used to improve vision without glasses.
